Applewood Announces Fall Caring Community Giveaway

Applewood Plumbing Heating & Electric is gearing up to donate another $5,000 as part of their Caring Community Giveaway program. This quarter Applewood asked their employees to nominate local nonprofit organizations that focus on supporting and providing children with materials to succeed during the school year. The following organizations have been chosen to collect votes through Applewood’s Facebook page: Packs of Hope, A Precious Child and Kenzi’s Causes- Packz 4 Kidz.

Packs of Hope

Packs of Hope provides backpacks full of clothing, toys, school supplies, and toiletries for infants, toddlers and teens who are transitioning into out-of-home or foster care. Since 2008, Packs of Hope has provided supplies for more than 6,500 kids in Colorado.

A Precious Child

Through their “Edussentials” program, A Precious Child offers scholarships to help cover the costs of necessary school supplies such as computers and books.

Kenzi’s Causes

Kenzi’s Causes- Packz 4 Kidz fills backpacks with school supplies, toothbrushes and toothpaste. Their goal for this year is to provide 3,700 backpacks to children in need.

Applewood is looking to the community to decide which of these three deserving organizations will be awarded the $5,000 Caring Community Giveaway.

Individuals throughout the community can submit their vote on Applewood’s Facebook page (@applewoodPHE) or via the website at https://www.applewoodfixit.com/caring-community-vote/. Every vote counts and will help determine the winner. The voting period will start August 3rd and the winner will be announced in August 14th.
