Rocky Mountain Feline Rescue is the winner of Applewood’s Caring Community Giveaway
Applewood Plumbing Heating & Electric has announced Rocky Mountain Feline Rescue as the winner of this quarter’s $5,000 Caring Community Giveaway.
“Applewood believes in giving back, so being able to continue our Giveaways feels like we are pouring back into the communities that help build us up,” said Josh Ward, owner of Applewood Plumbing Heating & Electric.
Since 1982, RMFR has made it their mission to care for and shelter homeless cats and kittens until they find their forever home. Striving to have an impact, RMFR partners with local veterinarians to deliver comprehensive medical care and life saving surgeries. Using the money awarded, RMFR will continue improving the medical needs of the cats in their care.
Partnering with local in-store adoption programs, RMFR maximizes all opportunities for members of their community to adopt their potential next feline family member. RMFR aims to empower their community by “saving one cat at a time.”
“Winning this giveaway means the world to us! It will allow us to continue to help cats and kittens in need,” said Lori Gilger, RMFR foster and adoptions coordinator. “We only exist because of donations and to receive such a large amount at once is quite literally lifesaving.”
This organization was one of three nonprofits nominated by Applewood employees, which were then voted for by the community. The other nominees, Luvin’ Arms Animal Sanctuary and Planned Pethood International, will also receive $500 from Applewood’s Caring Community Giveaway.
