Applewood’s Safety Procedures Gain Praise
During this time is heightened concern, Applewood Plumbing Heating & Electric has upped their level of precautions to ensure the safety of customers and employees, measures that have been met with appreciation from customers and employees alike.
“Since the pandemic started, we disinfect high touch surfaces three times daily in the offices and provide our technicians with additional safety gear to help them remain sanitary as they enter homes,” said Kristen Lindsley, director of Service Support for Applewood Plumbing Heating & Electric. “We are continually watching the pandemic to adjust to any changes and keep customers and employees safe.”
Applewood employees wear gloves, masks and shoe covers whenever they enter homes. Shoe covers were always part of the protocol, but now a company-issued bucket stocked with supplies to sanitize and stay safe during and in-between service calls are in every truck.
The company screens employees daily for general health, including temperature checks, and screens customers with a variety of health questions before every appointment.
“Our customers have been very open and understanding of the situation in the world and know that we are trying to keep them safe,” said Kristen Lindsley.
There have been several reviews posted online from customers praising the added measures the company is taking to keep everyone safe. A recent customer review stated, “Was able to get same day service! Tech was on time, neat and COVID safe!”
The CDC recommends cleaning surfaces with soap, water and disinfectant, but Applewood has taken this recommendation a step further by providing a bleach solution to employees to ensure a clean workspace, truck and tools.
