Caring Community Giveaway Focused on Holidays

Applewood Plumbing Heating & Electric employees have nominated three Holiday nonprofits for this quarter’s $5,000 Community Care Giveaway. All chosen nonprofits positively impact the lives of disadvantaged children, domestic violence victims and provide fundamental services for medical crises. Voting for this holiday quarter’s Community Caring Giveaway has begun and will close December 15. The public is strongly encouraged to vote to decide who will receive the next $5,000 caring community check.

“We believe in supporting small, local nonprofits that assist people in need and during the holiday season there’s not a more appropriate time to give. Everyone can unite to support a common cause and spread joy,” said Josh Ward, owner and president of Applewood Plumbing & Electric.

Nonprofits nominated for the Caring Community Giveaway:

The Denver Children’s Foundation

The Denver Children’s Foundation founded in 1987, has a mission to develop philanthropic leaders who mobilize the community to impact the lives of disadvantaged children through annual fundraising events and hands on community service. DCF is dedicated to contributing to the betterment and welfare of the children in the local community.

The Family Tree

The Family Tree was founded in 1974. They are committed to addressing the interconnected issues of child abuse, domestic violence and homelessness. Once a domestic violence survivor escapes, they may experience homelessness and further trauma throughout their lives. Family Tree works alongside these individuals throughout their journey to safety, economic independence and self-sufficiency.

There with Care

Since 2005, There with Care has been providing a wide range of thoughtful and fundamental services to families and children during the critical phase of a medical crisis. There with Care builds a network of services and serves people to ease the burden of life’s day-to-day obligations.

Every quarter Applewood employees choose three local nonprofits in the Denver/Boulder area for the Caring Community Giveaway and leave it up to the community to decide who receives the $5,000 donation. More than $350,000 has been donated to nonprofits across the Front Range through the program.
